Is there anyone out there besides me who just isn't up to par with the role of housekeeping? I am terrible at it. My house is always a mess. And when I do finally get parts of it cleaned up, my kids are right behind me messing it up again. It's like there is no point in even cleaning up. My husband is better at housekeeping than I am! Part of my problem lies with how I was brought up; our home was always a mess, too. So I developed a high tolerance to messiness. My husband's home where he grew up, on the other hand, was always neat and tidy. his family has a lot more discipline than mine.
People say I am a good mom - I have 3 young kids and stay at home to raise them - but I fall far short of being a good housewife. Proverbs 31? I wish! That's a pretty high standard and quite ideal, but I would be satisfied if I could just keep all of my home tidy on a regular basis. i should note that my kids are only starting to get old enough for chores; the oldest 2 are ages 4 and 3. So we are trying to do a simple chore each day for them. Of course, with the amount of JUNK that accumulates, it gets overwhelming for everyone involved. I should also note that hubby is in the military and is gone half the year. So I am left to my own to also do those things that he normally does. How can I be a good role model to my kids if all they see is a messy house?
So does anyone have any suggestions? Tell me what kind of chore schedules you have everyday that keeps things running smoothly. I NEED HELP!!!!!

I tried it out for a while a couple years ago, but it really didn't seem to work for me in the end. I did learn a few lessons from it, tho, that I still use when I am able.
