if u are physically or financially incapable or a drug addict or any other reasons that could prevent u being able to look after a child. is it wrong to put that child up for adoption. remember there could be many factors and i dont mean little issues.

Re: adoption | ||

I know this was posted a long time ago, and I don't know what was in the replies that were lost, but here goes ...
I think that placing a child for adoption is a responsible choice, if you are not able to care for the child appropriately for any reason. I believe it's a mature choice and shows concern for the child's welfare in a way that is unselfish and sacrificial. I also think it's an incredible gift to give someone else. My husband and I are right now seeking to adopt a child, because we are unable to conceive. I can't imagine the sacrifice that it will be for the birthmother of the child that God has for us, but it will be one of the greatest gifts of my life to receive that child to care for and raise. |

As an adopted child(at birth) who count my adoption as the best gift I have ever received, or will ever receive besides my salvation of course. I think adoption is a great choice, if there is a reason that you can't be the parent you know God would want you to be then He will show you the way to share your child with a couple who will love it more than you will ever know. I thank God every day for my parents who love all 3 of us adopted kids just like they were our natural parents. I also thank God that my birth mother had the streangth and the wisdom to make the best choice for me her child. What a gift.
God bless you, In Him Saved |

I have to agree with inhimsaved. Our children are being
taught that their parents did the right thing. We keep it in a positive light that they couldn't take care of them. Also, that God had a place in our family from the beginning. All three of our children were foreign born. They know that their mothers loved them and we believe this. In the next 10 years we will be adopting 7 or so more little ones from God. HonorHim ps this will make me 48 and my wife 38 at the end. 10 kids in total and the quiver full or almost |

Just a thought - God "gave up" His only Son, allowing Him to be raised by another and to be separated from Him, in order to fulfill a higher calling. Also, we are not "blood children" of God - we have been ADOPTED into His family. We are now heirs of a great inheritance, because we've been adopted by our Heavenly Father. We are His own now. The entire plan of salvation rests on the concept of Adoption. In short, obviously adoption and children are topics VERY VERY close to the heart of God.
There are a number of Biblical "adoptions"... Moses, Samuel, Esther... I just wanted to add with a great amount of confidence that adoption does not have to be Plan B - at least not in God's eyes... don't let it be in yours either. God is big, wise, and right enough to create a child for you on the other side of the world, or allow you to nuture a child for 9 months and give birth and never raise him/her. Don't put God in a box and expect that everything in His plan follows societal norms. Everything happens for a reason, and it's not out of His hands. Blessings to you! |

I AM AN ADOPTIVE PARENT. WE CHOSE TO ADOPT AT LEAST ONE CHILD WHEN WE GOT MARRIED. IT WAS SORT OF AN AGREEMENT TO DO SOMETHING LATER ON IN OUR MARRIAGE WHEN THE TIME WAS RIGHT. WE HAVE BEEN SO BLESSED WITH OUR DAUGHTER FROM KOREA. SHE REPENTED AT THE AGE OF 11 AND IS NOW MARRIED TO A WONDERFUL BROTHER IN FAITH. WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE HER FOR A DAUGHTER. WE CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO NOT HAVE HER AS A PART OF OUR LIFE. WHAT A BLESSING. GOD DIRECTED HER TO US AND WE FEEL THAT SHE WAS PLACED ON THIS EARTH AS OUR CHILD. ADOPTION IS A TRUE BLESSING. IF YOU NEED DIRECTION IN THIS ASPECT PLEASE SEEK OUT LOVING SHEPHERD IN BLUFFTON, IN. THEY WILL GUIDE YOU TO THE AGENCY THAT BEST FITS YOUR NEEDS. OUR PRAYERS THAT SOMEONE SOMEWHERE WILL READ THIS AND SEEK ADOPTION AND GIVE A CHILD WHO DOES NOT HAVE A CHANCE OF CHIRST COMING INTO THEIR LIFE A HOME--A CHIRSTIAN HOME WHERE THEY CAN SEEK CHRIST AS THEIR PERSONAL SAVIOR AND BE BORN AGAIN.
