I go to the United Pentecostal church in Nova Scotia. This church is Apostolic.
I was reading your question and I have an answer for you.
The Aposolic Pentecostal Church believes in the oneness of God; as Father who created us, as saviour Jesus who came to redeem us, and as the Holy Ghost who indwells us.
We reject the idea of the trinity as it traces it's roots to being created at the Council of Nicea.
In Deuteronomy 6:4 the Bible says " Hear Oh Israel the Lord our God is ONE Lord." Not three.
We believe in and follow the scripture reverance found in Acts 2:38 " Repent and be Baptized every one of you in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
As to the the scripture reverance found in Matthew 28:19 when Jesus said " Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the NAME( singular ) of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost."
We believe that name to be Jesus thus refucusing the scripture reverance found in Acts 2:38.
It is the same as Alpha and Omega ( beginning and the end). It still points to Jesus.
No where in the book of Acts will you find any other formula found for baptism other then in the NAME OF JESUS. Seach it for yourself. Look at Acts 19.

Hello, I am an Apostolic. The church where I attend the members are different. Some women have long hair and wear dresses all the time, and no make up. Some of us wear make up, dresses to church, but not all the time. God tells women to dress "modest." It is not how much make up you wear, its your reason for wearing it, that matters. If you are putting on make up to go to church, to be looked at by men, then yes it is wrong. If you are wearing it for modest reasons than its OK. In Apostolic Faith, we do not tell each other what they are to wear. Everyone is to find their own salvation, and deal with their own convictions. We could not go into everyones homes, and ask them if they sin, so we wouldnt tell them how to dress. If we ridiculed everyone woman whom wears make up, then we would have to do the same for some over weight people as well. Over eating is a sin also. We speak in tongues which is a promise from God. It is our comforter that Jesus left for us. It is our own way to pray to God, we do not preach in tongues. Nor, do we listen to each other. The Holy Spirit is praying for us. Sounds like many people in this room have the wrong information about Apostolic Faith.
