Hi all, I'm new here, I have a friend of a friend who is a newly converted AC, and I have some questions after viewing some posts, just trying to gain some knowledge.
I may be quoting this incorrectly, but I've read that the "head of Christ is man, and the woman is of the man." This doesn't seem equal to me. Also, I've read part of the reason AC women dress in long skirts and loose fitting blouses to help the men not have impure thoughts. Why should the men depend on the women to do this? Why shouldn't the men be held accountable for and control their thoughts or actions?
A lot of what I've read leads me to believe the women are there to please the men, and not much else.
Also...it looks as though dating is frowned upon, due to "dangers" of two members of the opposite sex being alone together. I'm wondering what exactly these "dangers" are - is one not allowed to connect with another human being of the opposite sex? What about friendship?
